Book Quote of the Day- Kate Mosse “Labyrinth”

This quote has been floating around in my head all day. It’s a line from Kate Mosse’s “Labyrinth”, which roughly translates to “step by step, we make our way”. This is something I’ve really been struggling with lately. I’ve been craving change and feel impatient with the way things are going with certain aspects of my life. This quote seems to be reminding me that I need to pace myself and that good things will come my way.

For those unfamiliar with Kate Mosse’s “Labyrinth” here is a short summary:

In the Pyrenees mountains near Carcassonne, Alice, a volunteer at an archaeological dig, stumbles into a cave and makes a startling discovery-two crumbling skeletons, strange writings on the walls, and the pattern of a labyrinth. Eight hundred years earlier, on the eve of a brutal crusade that will rip apart southern France, a young woman named Alais is given a ring and a mysterious book for safekeeping by her father. The book, he says, contains the secret of the true Grail, and the ring, inscribed with a labyrinth, will identify a guardian of the Grail. Now, as crusading armies gather outside the city walls of Carcassonne, it will take a tremendous sacrifice to keep the secret of the labyrinth safe (Goodreads, 2005).

Let me know if this quote resonates with you as well or the plot of the “Labyrinth” caught your interest
