2021 Reading Goals and Reading Challenge

It goes without saying that 2020 was a tough year for everybody and that we are all hoping that with the arrival of 2021 things will brighten up considerably. Like so many of my friends and family I often felt as if I was either at a standstill or desperately trying to catch up with day to day events. I’m feeling much more optimistic this year and want to carry forward that optimism by finding positive challenges for myself.

This year I’ve decided that for the first time I will participate in the Goodreads Reading Challenge. My goal is 50 books and to make things a bit more challenging I’m going to not include any re-reads I do.

In addition to the Goodreads Challenge, I’m excited to participate in the Backlist Reading Challenge. The goal of the challenge is simple, you just need to go through your to be read list from 2019 and earlier. I’ve noticed that my to be read list has gotten quite long and it’s time to starting reading all those books I’ve been putting off in favor of new releases.

Backlist Reading Challenge
1. The Taster by V.S. Alexander
2. The Lost Season of Love and Snow by Jennifer Laam
3. Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf
4. Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim
5. A Dress for the Wicked by Autumn Krause
6. The Forgotten Room by Karen White
7. The Clockmaker’s Daughter by Kate Morton
8. The Catalin Book of Secrets by Jessica Lourey
9. Meet Me in Monaco by Hazel Gaynor
