April Reading Wrap Up

I feel like I’ve been saying this all year, but this month has flown by in what feels like a minute. Things have finally started opening up near me, which has left me feeling both cautious and excited. With things feeling just a tad bit safer I’ve been enjoying a bit of outdoor dining with my boyfriend and a few friends. I’ve also been able to browse books in an actual bookstore, which I loved doing pre-pandemic. Last weekend I checked out a cute independent books store, the Book Revue, which had a great selection of books. Their staff picks were fantastic and I highly recommend checking them out if you are ever in the Long Island area.

Reading Recap

I’ve been trying to stick to six books a month to make sure that I’m both keeping up with my Goodreads goal of 50 books for this year and at the same time being able to pace myself and truly enjoy the books that I’m reading. This month’s readings were:

Posts I’ve Enjoyed This Month

Below are just a few of the blogs I’ve enjoyed reading this April:

I thought this was such a cute idea and the recommendations were spot on

This seemed like a fun and easy tag and I’ve been inspired to participate in this one myself

Joy has great advice in terms of how to choose which books to keep and which to discard. It really helped me re-organize my bookshelf, which was slightly getting out of control

How was your April? Did you get a lot of reading done? Any favorite books so far?

    1. I don’t think I intentionally set a 6 book goal for myself, but I’ve been noticing that when I try to read more I just rush through the book and it starts to feel more like a chore than anything else
